[Identified] BMIT is observing a possible issue with International Connectivity; minor packet loss occurring intermittently which may affect certain paths. We have opened a ticket with our carrier who confirmed some network degradation at their end but did not provide an ETR yet. We are closely monitoring the situation and will be ready to take necessary actions if the situation changes. [Monitoring] BMIT Technologies are still following up with carrier. From our investigations it was identified that Issue was primarily affecting paths from ITM. Therefore, in order to eliminate any possible reoccurrence, traffic has been shifted through our other pop in DEF and in fact since then no other packet loss was registered. BMIT Technologies will keep you updated once we have more meaningful information from carrier or before taking any required action. [Monitoring] BMIT Technologies was informed by the carrier that the affected paths from ITM have been recovered and are now stable with no further packet loss recorded. BMIT Technologies shall be performing a number of upgrades on its core routing infrastructure in all of its sites i.e. MTH, MTS, Frankfurt (DEF) and Milan (ITM). Maintenance will be done one router at a time as per plan and the first of such planned activities will be performed in MTH as per the below schedule. Schedule: Start: 03/03/2020 – 05:00 AM CET End: 03/03/2020 – 07:00 AM CET Whilst every effort will be taken to minimize impact during such works, customers may still experience momentary IP bandwidth, interlink, and other network disruptions. The above maintenance in MTH will be then followed by similar works in our two [2] POP sites in DEF and ITM as per below dates: DEF: 10/03/2020 ITM: 17/03/2020 We will send separate notifications pertaining to these planned works and further future ones as required.
